Village of Balgarevo has a very well
developed infrastructure which offers all
the amenities one can need. There is couple
of local shops, 6 restaurants, pizza bar,
health service and car-wash station.
It is a tourist place and a lot of people
visit the area in summer season.
The village of Balgarevo has at its disposal
the longest coast line on the Bulgarian
Black Sea Coast. It is only 4 kilometers
away from Kaliakra cape and 6 kilometers
from Kavarna town.
Near by is “Rusalka” Resort, Dalboka place
with its mussel farm and Bolata – 6
kilometers meandering canyon with exuberant
vegetation, caves, swamp where rare birds
nesting and finishing with a small beautiful
bay close to Kaliakra cape.
Bolata is one of the unspoiled beaches on
the Black Sea Coast. A community center
called “Naroden buditel” is located in the
center of the village.
It stores and popularizes the folklore
culture, everyday life, and traditions of
the village’s residents in all their forms.
The center was founded in 1904 and since
then it has been informational, cultural and
educational center.
The center organizes different school
trainings, educational courses, and supports
amateur groups, encourages individual
amateur performances, and popularizes local
holidays. The building of the center also
hosts different clubs: a pensioners’ club,
agrarians’ club, and hunters and fishermen’s
club.
There is also an ethnographic composition
that has been made to preserve Balgarevo’s
traditions for the generations to come.
“Naroden Buditel” community center offers:
- A permanent ethnographic exposition and an
exhibition of photos representing the life
of the village’s residents in the past;
- A conference hall, Internet services;
- You can find interesting readings in the
center’s library
- Hand-knitted articles (you can also order
and buy knitted products - carpets,
slippers, different covers)
